Welcome to Love of Magic Book 1 Book 2 Walkthrough & Guide, which helps you to unlock all the events and scenes with all the available characters.

I will list basic information as needed.
You will name people as you meet them, I will use their default names in this walkthrough.
Events and other things listed are as I found them or (If I know) when they become available.
Keep clicking on people that are present to continue the story. If no one is on the screen, select map locations to progress the story.
Days not listed have no events or new things to do. You can do what you want on those days.
Book 1 – Love of Magic Walkthrough & Guide
Act 1
Day 1
-Name yourself
-Read email and play a game on the computer
-Meet Chloe
-Choose your field of study in college (+2 to either Strength, Intelligence or Charisma)
-Choose previous work experience (Get either +2 Strength, +1 Charisma and £100, or +1 to Charisma and Intelligence and £50)
-Go to bedroom and sleep
-Go to City map and select Grassmarket and enter alley
-First poker battle, pretty straight forward
-Head back to the Crowley and enter the bathroom (If you compliment Chloe’s tits and ask for a hand you will get a scene with her)
-Go to sleep
Day 2
-Choose focus at College (+3 to either Intelligence or Charisma)
-Head to the University
-Choose how you fight (Get either +2 Strength, +1 to both Strength and Intelligence, or +3 Strength and -1 Intelligence)
-Go to sleep
Day 3
-Choose method for success (Get either +3 Strength, +3 Intelligence, +3 Charisma, or +1 to each stat)
-Go to the gym (Get some gems for your magic and assign them how you want)
You will now enter a free roaming period. Here are some things you can do during the free roam. Text in Red means this option advances time.
-Work out at the gym (morning and evening) (Get +1 Strength every second time you train)
-Visit coffee shop (morning and evening) (You can have a random encounter with Emily or Molly (after you meet her), unlock the bookstore, or buy a coffee and read a book or talk to customers (gain Charisma)) (I would wait until you finish most of the Black Rose quest, so you have free coffee and the coffee shop is open at night)
-Visit bookstore (morning and evening) (You can have a random encounter with Katie, Emily or Molly (after you meet her) or you can buy a book to improve your stats (I personally don’t buy books to raise stats, but to each their own)) – Once you have some spare money and enough Charisma to succeed at the check, buy the exotic book “The Exquisite Art of Domination” and read it in the coffee shop as this will start a side quest with Jenny.
-Visit Grassmarket (Nothing in the morning, possible random meeting with Emily in the evening (-£20 and +2 Charisma), or go to a bar at night (-£10, possible random stat increase)
-Work at the Crowley (evening) (+£35, or you can get a random event and possibly £50 if you succeed at the stat check)
-Talk to Chloe about your dad (anytime) (5+ Charisma required)
-Talk to Chloe about gems (5+ Charisma required to get a free gem) – Unlocks portal room (though portal won’t be usable for a few more days.)
-Take a shower at night (+1 Charisma, random chance of it happening)
Note: If you save at night before entering the Grassmarket, you can reload and get a new roll for a stat increase at the bar. Also works before other random stat gains. It’s an exploit but will reduce the grind of the game.
-Go to your room at night for a scene about putting gems in your staff. (One time only)
-Use the Facial app to talk to mom. (night only)
I recommend training at the gym in the morning, working at the Crowley in the evening and going to the bar at night. This will provide money and stat increases until you gain access to Elsewhere.
Day 5
-Meet Dylan at the University in the morning
-Fight a Hellhound (pretty straight forward)
-Free roaming for rest of the day
Day 6
-Free roaming in the morning
-Date with Emily in the evening. (5+ Charisma for extra dialog options) (It’s possible that paying for the entire meal is the best option, and it’s not like you will be lacking in money in this game)
Day 9
-Head to University for a lecture in the morning
-Free roaming for rest of the day

-Homework with Emily in the evening

-Lecture in the morning (+2 Charisma)

-You can now go to the library to buy/sell gems (morning and evening)
-Talk to Chloe about sorcerers
-At night, in your room you will install Courseware on your computer, which has external links to help with this game. (One time only)
Sometime after talking to Chloe about gems (not sure the exact day it becomes available but definitely by day 12), you can have your first outing into Elsewhere. First click on the portal location. Afterwards, go to the university to talk to Dylan and Katie. (Choice of +2 to either Strength, Intelligence or Charisma)
Day 13
-Free roaming in the morning
-Date with Emily in the evening
New stuff you can do
-Go into Elsewhere (mornings) – You can select up to 3 people to go with you. To start out with you are limited in who you can bring, but the list will grow as you meet new people. For a list of allies and their abilities, go here. For now, all you can bring with you is Katie, Dylan, and Chloe (need Charisma 12+ for her to join).
I recommend buying and reading the erotic book. This will unlock a quest chain for Jenny that uses the Black Rose you can find in the treasure chests in Elsewhere.
Day 14
If you’ve bought something from the quartermaster in the library, he will talk to you about the room upstairs. You can then go there to talk to Olivia (morning and evening).
Day 15
Sometime around this day, if you are lucky and have balanced stats, you should have 10 in each stat. Once you have 10 in each stat you can initiate the Strip MMA fight with Katie at the gym. Do not repeat the same move during the fight and you should win. (+1 to each stat if you win completely)
Day 16
-Lecture in the morning (+1 Charisma and +1 Intelligence, plus choice between +2 Charisma or +2 Strength)
-Free roaming for rest of the day
Day 17
-Free roaming in the morning
-You will get notification for your computer, you can buy Emily a T-shirt for £30.
-Homework with Emily in the evening (I suggest asking Shaved, Crush then Kiss questions as it will tell more of the story. Asking the Kiss question last will lead to a handjob scene)
At this point, I recommend always exploring Elsewhere during the day on free roaming periods, you gain stats (when you level up) and you can find ingredients and special ingredients. Save all ingredients you find until you have 50, then trade for the flawless gem. Special ingredients are used to upgrade the bar, which in turn unlocks events that happen while working at the bar. You also earn £50 for each special ingredient you provide. After a couple of upgrades, you can work at night at the bar.
Day 18
-If you bought the T-Shirt for Emily, you will receive an email from her in the morning. (Click on attachments to see the photos)
-If you talked to Olivia once per day and talked about each topic, you can go to the university and have an event with Olivia in DGN1 room. Wait a few days and visit her in the Library.
Day 19
-You automatically go to university where you have a fight with a Tentakun (tentacle monster).
-Free roaming for rest of the day
Day 20
-Free roaming in the morning
-You can talk to the Quartermaster and buy a flawless fire gem for Katie. It costs £500. Give her the gem, in the evening at the gym.
-Date with Emily in the Evening
Act 2

-You can watch a stream on your computer (though the stream shows a scene from the future)
-At night you can meet Bella and Katie in the Grassmarket
Day 23
-Lecture in the morning (+1 Intelligence)
-Email from Bella
-In the evening you can meet Bella in Grassmarket, she will then join you when you go to Elsewhere.
-Nighttime, after meeting Bella in the evening, go to the gym for a scene with Bella and Katie. Don’t skip it, or it’s gone for good.

-Homework with Molly. Choose to ignore the pull until you can’t anymore, this will extend the scene to the fullest.

-You can train your Swordsmanship in the glade in the morning (click on the portal)
-I suggest you train swordsmanship in the morning and start reading books in the evening and night (if you completed the Black Rose quest chain to the point where the cafe is open at night). You should be good on money, but if you need more, work at the Crowley to earn money.
-After first swordsmanship training, you gain +1 Power, which allows you to place gems in slots lower than required to allow more powerful gems. (ie. A level 2 (2 pair) gem can go in a level 1 (pair) slot.) You will also be allowed to go farther on the paths in Elsewhere (+5 movement per trip).
-There is an event at the bookstore with Dylan. You can talk to him about the book in the cafe (+2 Charisma).

-While training with Emily, you need to choose “Fake a misstep” (Requires a decent Charisma, I had 39 when I did it and it worked), then “She’s off-balance (Requires Swordsmanship 15). Once you’ve fully viewed this scene, you won’t be able to train with her until you get Swordsmanship up some more.
-Once Swordsmanship is 10+, there is an event at the shrine in Elsewhere if Emily is in the party (+2 Swordsmanship). The scene will change slightly depending on whether you trigger the event before or after the end of Act 4.

-Recommended that you go to Elsewhere with just Molly to continue the Arms Dealer quest (go to the Dark Mansion NE of Camelot)
-You can also head to Pendragon Enterprises twice to unlock computers (+2 Intelligence first time)

During rests, you can always interact with 1 party member. Some members have special events during rests and it will be listed in their information.
Katie Maclachlan – Love of Magic Walkthrough & Guide
Rank: 3 Stars, upgrades to 4 stars with her flawless gem and both campfire upgrades
Available from the start
-Basic move does 30 base damage plus 10 fire damage
-Once you buy her the flawless fire gem after day 20, she has a once per day move that does 200 base damage and 100 fire damage
-Campfire event, you can recharge her major fire attack (if you’ve already used it that day)
-Campfire event with Dylan (Day 50+) (permanent boost to her basic fire attack)
-Campfire event with Emily (Day 90+) (permanent boost to both of her fire attacks)
Dylan Fay – Love of Magic Walkthrough & Guide
Rank: 3 Stars, upgrades to 4 Stars after he learns Regen
Available from the start
-Basic move heals 25 HP, after day 30, this upgrades to healing 50 HP
-Advanced move casts regen on you, healing you for 10% of your max HP per turn for 5+ turns, which is way better than his basic move.
-Campfire event, if Emily is in the group, you can talk to him and have Emily teach him his advanced move.
-Talk to him in the library after recruiting Xochi and he will learn the refresh ability (allowing your other companions to make another move that turn)
Emily Elanora Pendragon – Love of Magic Walkthrough & Guide
Rank: 4 Stars, upgrades to 5 stars once she has Dragonslayer
Available from day 31
-Basic move grants 40 shield points, after day 40, this upgrades to 100 shield points
-During story events she also has access to the Excalibur spell (a special blessing that buffs you a lot)
-Campfire event, there is a scene you can activate once
-She also makes exploring treasure chests a sure thing. She will either find +1 or +2 Ingredients
-She has a special event at the shrine once you have 10+ Swordsmanship
Chloe Abbott
Rank: 2 Stars for exploring Elsewhere, 4 stars for Poker battles
Available from the start (once you have 12+ Charisma)
-She can either change the center card on the board to a Joker or change one of the cards in your hand to a Joker
Moibeal “Bella” Hume
Rank: 5 Stars (due to her ability to give extra moves and the abilities she acquires)
Available after meeting her for the second time after day 23
-First move does 50 points of basic damage
-Second move does 100 points of poison
-She also provides a 10% reduction to the damage you sustain
-She also makes exploring treasure chests a sure thing. She will either find +3 Ingredients or 1 Special Ingredient
-Campfire event, you can talk to her to get extra moves (once per day)
-Campfire event, after she becomes Chosen (permanent boost to damage reduction)
-Late in Book 1, she gets the ability to remove the shields from an enemy
-In Book 2, she gets the ability to do massive damage to the enemy
Molly Irvine
Rank: 3 Stars for exploring Elsewhere, 5 for Poker battles
Available from day 35
-She replaces your hand with Jokers, but you do 25% less damage for 2 turns.
-She also makes exploring treasure chests a sure thing. She will find some Ingredients, a gem, or money
Katashi Akane
Rank: 2 Stars in Book 1 (her ability is very situational, plus you are forced to have Kitsune as well), upgrades to 3 stars in Book 2 (she gets a new ability and you aren’t required to have Kitsune with you)
Available from day 50
-Her ability is to sort the board either by Suit or by Value, and either ascending or descending. This can work in your favor to generate high hands, but it also helps the opponent, and it is very situational. I personally don’t use her often, but some people do find her very useful, it all depends on your strategy in Poker battles.
-She can only be in the party with Kitsune
-Has some scenes at Campfire in Elsewhere (1 gives +2 Charisma)
-If you team up Akane and Molly, it makes an exceptionally powerful combination.
-In Book 2, once the Tea House and Dojo are built, and you’ve seen both events with Akane in these locations, she gets a new ability.
Hakone no Kitsune
Rank: 1 Star

-Her attack does 100 basic damage
-She can only be in the party with Akane
-She has a special event if you explore the shrine. (repeatable)

Fia Maclaclan

-She grants a large shield (more than Emily provides)

Matthew
Rank: 3 Stars

Rank: 4 or 5 Stars (depending on who you choose for your other companions)

Team Combos – Love of Magic Walkthrough & Guide
Book 1 Combos
-Emily/Dylan/Bella – My personal favorite for exploring Elsewhere. Bella makes getting ingredients super easy, and her poison move does excellent damage for long fights or shielded enemies (as poison bypasses shields). You will hardly ever take any damage with Emily’s shields and the bit of damage you take will be healed by Dylan.
-Emily/Katie/Bella – Almost the same as the first party, but if you take damage you won’t be able to heal. Though Katie will make beating tough bosses a little easier, especially with her ultimate fire move.
-Emily/Molly/Bella – Again, almost the same as the first party. Healing will be an issue but Molly’s joker move will make high hands easy. This party is only useful once you have really good high level gems to go into the higher hand slots.
-Molly/Akane/Kitsune – A very powerful combination. You won’t be able to get extra moves in Elsewhere, but Molly will make ingredients just as easy to get. You won’t be able to block or heal damage (unless you equip a lot of shield gems), but you will be able to make amazingly powerful hands. This party is only useful once you have really good high level gems to go into the higher hand slots, especially a flawless gem to go in the Royal Straight slot. I find this party only useful for single combat and not as good for exploring Elsewhere
Book 2 Combos
-Emily/Bella/Dylan or Xochi – This party is just as good as in Book 1, but it’s even better once Bella gets her 1000 damage move and Dylan gets refresh. Xochi heals more than Dylan, so she’s better to take once you recruit her. With this party you will be able to do 4000+ damage per turn just from your companions, not counting the damage Excalibur does or what you do during the turn. Plus you get extra moves when exploring from Bella while resting.
-Fia/Bella/Dylan or Xochi – Almost as good as the above party, but you are swapping 1000 or 2000 damage per turn for a much larger shield ability and doubling your attack.
-Molly/Emily or Fia/Dylan or Xochi – Decent party, Molly allows for really high hands allowing you to Rage or debuff monsters easily. Emily and Fia allow you to shield as well as do extra damage. Dylan and Xochi do healing, regen and refresh. Refresh isn’t useful for Molly but it helps Emily and Fia.
-Molly/Bella/Emily or Fia or Dylan or Xochi – Another decent party, Molly again allows for really high hands allowing you to Rage or debuff monsters easily. Bella does poison, shield breaking and massive damage (once unlocked), as well as extra moves while exploring Elsewhere. The choice between healing and shielding is up to you. Emily does massive damage, Fia doubles the damage you do, Dylan and Xochi refresh Bella (as it’s useless for Molly).
Molly/Akane/Emily or Fia or Dylan or Xochi – This can be a power house, like in Book 1, except you aren’t forced to take Kitsune with you. The choice between healing and shielding is up to you. Emily does massive damage, Fia doubles the damage you do (which, along with Molly and Akane, will also be massive). Dylan and Xochi’s refresh will be useless with this party.

-After a few days, you can meet her again at the Library, upstairs.
-Talk to Olivia again
-At the start of Book 2 you can talk to Olivia again (only available during the first couple of days of Book 2, then she disappears)
Black Rose Event Chain
-Buy the erotic book (£100) and read it twice
-Explore Elsewhere until you find a black rose in a treasure chest.
-Go to cafe and read the erotic book.
-Go to the bookstore and buy pen and paper (£100)
-Go on your computer and buy a vibrator (£100)
-Go to the cafe, buy coffee and place the rose on the counter
-Next day, go to cafe and buy coffee for a scene (cafe is now open at night)
-Explore Elsewhere until you find another black rose.
-Wait a couple of days and head to the cafe at night.
-Progress through Olivia’s quest chain until she talks about someone preaching in the streets at night
-You can then return to the cafe with a third rose to continue. (If you were in the cafe in the evening when it turns to night, you will have to leave and come back in to trigger the event)

A Home for the Chosen Quest
-Near the end of Book 1, you will be asked what you want to build first (Onsen, Dojo or Tea House)(Recommended order is: Dojo, Tea House, Onsen)
-The Tea House gives either +3 Strength or +3 Charisma once completed, as well as enabling a quest. Gives +2 Charisma the first time you use it, +1 Charisma all other times
-The Dojo allows you to Meditate or Train. Training gives +2 Strength the first time, +1 Strength all other times. Meditating gives +1 Intelligence every time. The first time you train in the Dojo there will be an event with Bella. Approximately the 10th and 20th time you train there are events at night with Bella and Molly, respectively. You also need the dojo to meet Jalsa before Act 9 (not necessary, but will probably change your relationship with her).
-The Onsen gives either +3 Strength or +3 Charisma the first time you use it, +1 Charisma all other times.
-Day 126+, go to the King’s Dragon to see the new expansion
-When you have $1000, return to King’s Dragon to purchase a new expansion (from what remains of the first 3)
-Wait 7 days, return to King’s Dragon to see the new expansion
-When you have $4000, return to King’s Dragon to purchase a new expansion (last of the first 3)
-Wait 2 weeks, return to King’s Dragon to see the new expansion.
-When you have $4000, return to King’s Dragon to purchase a new expansion, this time it’s a Dining Hall
-Wait 2 weeks, return to King’s Dragon to see the new expansion.
-Dining Hall provides +1 Charisma for each meal, only available in the evening. If you eat at least 3 meals, and at least one of them is Sushi, there is an non-repeatable event.
A Little Favor Quest
-After building the Tea House addition to the King’s Dragon, enter the King’s Dragon and order a beer to get this quest.
-Enter elsewhere with all 3 Chosen, head to the new location SE of Camelot.
-Return to the King’s Dragon, then talk to Emily in the Great Hall
-1 week later, enter the King’s Dragon. You can now train with him +1 Charisma or +1 Strength
Kingdom Events – Love of Magic Walkthrough & Guide
-Most Kingdom events just provide resources, items or unlock quests/Kingdom events. Ones that unlock other stuff will be listed here.
-The “Warthog go Brrrrpt” kingdom event will unlock a morning event approximately 1 week after it’s completed. If the event doesn’t trigger automatically, leave and enter the bedroom.
-The “Treasure Trove” event will unlock a location in Elsewhere. This location requires only Emily to go with you. You receive a group of gems of your choice (Fire, Ice, Lightning, or Rage+Cluster), plus the Winter Storm gem and 50 RP or 70 RP (requires a strength of 50)
